A large contingent of Tigers fans attended the game to witness history

The entire city of Detroit is buzzing as Detroit Tigers legend Miguel Cabrera aspires to pick up his 3,000th career hit and forever etch his name in history.

The possibility of Cabrera's milestone at Comerica Park was witnessed by fans of all walks of life on a beautiful Thursday afternoon.

There was a big turnout in the entire city to see their superstar make some history.

Detroit Is Ready

It's awesome to see this.

Detroit has embraced Cabrera since he was acquired from the Florida Marlins in a trade.

An illustrious career makes him a first ballot Hall-of-Famer.

Detroit is where Cabrera has had the most success.

Throughout his career, he has developed into one of the best hitters in the country, giving Tigers fans many memorable moments to cherish.

As well, he has played on several great Tiger teams.

One thing, however, is all fans want to see today: Cabrera getting hit No. 3,000.

Detroit fans will have a chance to show support for their franchise player this weekend, even if he doesn't do it today.

Yet fans are ready for an emotional outburst that is certain to be powerful.

It would be a special moment for Cabrera to get his 3,000th hit at home in front of his Detroit fans.
